Nutritional therapy provides an in depth look into the diet & lifestyle of clients with a focus on balancing the Six Foundations of Health – Diet, Digestion, Blood Sugar Balance, Fatty Acid Balance, Mineral Balance, and Hydration.

Weaknesses in the 6 Foundations of Nutritional Health lead to degenerative health problems that plague the modern world. These Foundations include Digestion, Blood Sugar Regulation, Fatty Acids, Hydration, and Vitamins & Minerals. Bringing these Six Foundations into balance through individualized diet & lifestyle changes (addressing food sensitivities, nutrient deficiencies, exercise…) can result in a reduction or elimination of many common illness symptoms and conditions. Nutritional therapy also considers other important factors for health outside the scope of nutritional therapy (energetic, emotional, and structural).

An Initial Interview, Food Journal, and an In depth Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire, provides the information that we need to create a bio-individual nutrition program tailored for you. We believe that somewhere inside each client is the answer to every question that can be asked about them. As Nutritional Specialists, we make that connection with our clients so that those answers become part of the client’s individualized program.

What we don’t do:

As a Nutritional Specialist we do not diagnose or treat disease.  We don’t do lab testing or blood work (though we refer if needed).  Our basic goal is to encourage you to become knowledgeable about and responsible for your own health. Nutritional therapy is designed to improve your health naturally through diet & lifestyle, but is not designed to treat any specific disease or medical condition. There are other important factors that promote wellness that are encouraged as well (movement and stress relief are a few).

What you WON’T find here:

“Secrets” for fast fat loss. Actually, there’s ONE secret for fast fat loss…stop trying to do it fast. Change takes time. “Extreme” diets and workout plans don’t work for very long.  We invite you to have the courage to approach your goals reasonably.    Reasonability = sustainability

What you WILL find here:

An individualized approach based on your personality & learning style…and an occasional cartwheel, some profanity, and frequent references to ice cream and tacos (because they are delicious)!
